Ilheu das Rolas - Sao Tomé

Leve...Leve

Light...Light... Has in "no weight" in your shoulders, body or spirit. Thats the way in São Tomé e Principe. A very small country (island) in front of Africa.
The people are amazing always smiling and kind. The landscape is green wherever you look, except for the Sea.
The food is real, authentic and simple.
I was in love with this country the moment I landed!
No highways, no trains, no subways, no resorts or fancy restaurants.
No great hospitals either. But despite the poverty there is no famine either. Because everything groes in this land, its rich in the land and sea, and if theres a lot missing for this people like good medical care, good installations like water and electricity in every house, they have a positive side that many countries don't have: richness in the land and jn their spirits.
And the way they live there lives: simple but happy is for many people a envious life!
Thank you to the children in Rolas that taught me how they fish!
Thank you to our guide Luis that had always a smile and drove us everywhere that we asked, explained to us everything about his country, even after he clocked off.
Thank you to the villagers of Rolas for a great lunch at the beach with a surprise music concert.
Thank you to D. Tété for the great meals that she provided.
Thank you... Leve....Leve
